The next in my Monsters and the Maidens Who Love Them collection: The Phantom and Christine. I actually did a poll a few months back for who should be next in my line, and these two won second after Donkey Kong and Pauline. Erik and Christine are definitely one of my favorite pairings of all time.
Once upon a time I actually had a Phantom of the Opera themed webcomic, some of you here may remember it. It was a modern version of the story called "Only Love And Music." It was one of my first webcomic projects, and I worked on it for about 5 or 6 years before I abandoned it. I was so young when I started it. My life changed, I changed, and so too did my goals. Where I was going with it just didn't fit me anymore. I've often wanted to go back and reboot the whole thing, and someday I do plan on it. The way I drew them here are basically chibi versions of my comic character designs, as kind of a tribute to a project I loved for so long.
