Description
EVEN MOAR CHARACTER DESIGNS. HUZZAH!!!Carlotta... she was a fun one. In the original novel, she is SPANISH. NOT. ITALIAN. So I had fun with that concept. After all... in an illustrated version... how are you going to convey that she has a spanish accent, but through image and misspellings? Obviously there will be no voice actress to aid my presentation. So I went full-out and made her very SPANISH LOOKING. SI! Si... ?Porque no? (I'm too lazy to add correct punctuation, but I do actually speak fluent Spanish, I promise.)
THE MANAGERS!! WHOOHOO! (I'm excited about all these, as you can tell...) After lots of research, I decided to base Richard off of a real-life manager listed in the Wiki archives (lol) during the late 1800's... because it fits the description of Richard PERFECTLY. He's the one with the temper, broad shoulders, and hard-looking face. I thought "Jean Valjean" only without the whole teddy-bear sweet. For Armand, I actually based my design on Gaston Leroux himself, because I read somewhere that it's possible (based on the descriptions Leroux gave for Armand's career and life-accomplishments) he based the character on himself... or at least the idea is there. And since tall and broad and short and fat give good contrast... I went with it. Also: he's got a cute monocle!!
Kudos if you read all that.
Feedback is always encouraged as I move along! Thanks for all your comments/support, they encourage me greatly!

Very nicely done. I love Carlotta's outfit, and the expression on Moncharmin's face while finding yet another note from O. G.
I love that you styled Moncharmin after Gaston Leroux. I've never heard that he might have styled the character after himself, but even if it isn't true it's still an amusing and wonderful idea.
Did you know that Leroux means "the red" and Leroux had red hair? (I have a thing for names and their meanings.)
Since you're using one of the Leroux manager names, you might want to change Firmin's as well, since in the book he was Firmin Richard (not Richard Firmin, as ALW altered it.)

Woah, Richard does look like Jean Valjean. That's great! (And Armand with his curly hair makes me think of Michael Ball...) Your Carlotta is awesome too. I love her outfit and facial expression.
(Also kudos to you for speaking fluent Spanish. I took some Spanish, but to me it doesn't make as much sense as French. I guess it all depends on what you're used to...)

That's funny, my first thought was that Richard looks like a stern Valjean XD I love the outfit you designed for Carlotta! Looks like something suited to be in the Phantom's Don Juan Triumphant

Leroux's Carlotta WAS Spanish after all.
