Perhaps this requires a bit of an explanation!

You may all be aware of the musical "Love Never Dies" and my previous hatred toward it, ever since it was announced in 2007. I even met Ramin Karimloo in 2009 before he was officially on-board the project, and he told me "it's a wonderful story... one of redemption" and at first I didn't believe him.

Well, last month I saw the Melbourne (Australian) production in theaters with Anna O'Brien and Ben Lewis... It was a gorgeous production and the actors were phenomenal. All in all, I didn't hate it as much as I expected... and now that it's coming on DVD I'm actually excited to get my own copy.

I never thought I'd actually say this, but it's been growing on me... and now I actually really really like "Love Never Dies."

OH MY GOSH WHO AM I KIDDING I ADORE THE MUSIC, I'M TOTALLY OK WITH THE PLOT NOW AND I'M JUST GEEKING OUT OVER THE MELBOURNE PRODUCTION. It's like... seriously almost as good as the original.

And it was only fitting that when these gorgeous photos of Anna O'Brien came out with that red costume (sigh!) I had to draw this... I tried to tie in the original musical with Love Never Dies with the use of the carnival lights and the foggy background... looks a bit reminiscent of the Lair set up (although just a tad more romantic!)

Phew! Glad I got that all off my chest. Enjoy!!

Yeah, I really apologize if I got most of you going, but I'm NOT in love with "Love Never Dies" any more than I'm in love with Grease 2... I DID think the Melbourne production was fun to watch, but more for the laughs. So, I'll still keep this up for your enjoyment but yep, I still stand in the "haters" group, so to speak. Still, I hope you enjoyed my prank while it lasted!
