As promised, an update before I go on vacation. I'm not terribly happy with how this page turned out. Too much empty space. *Shrugs* Just something for me to edit later.As I have already discussed with some of you I did happen to find a stage musical adaptation of "Rapunzel." It's called "Let Your Hair Down, Rapunzel." www.pioneerdrama.com/SearchDet… It looks pretty cool.
That being said I will still have to watch "Tangled" at least once during my week off.

ROFL! I've probably asked you this before, and I can't remember, but have you ever read Susan Kay's "Phantom?" I really enjoyed the way Kay depicted this very sensitive, gentle side of Erik in contrast with the powerful, austere Opera Ghost.

I really love it! It's very cute, and I enjoy the twists Disney adds to the original tale. Rapunzel is such a fun character, too. I have added her to my list of favorite Disney princesses.

Erik's expression is strangely adorable in the second panel lol. I love how tall he is- reminds me a lot of Jack Skellington XD

Lol, I'm glad you like his expression. I wanted his expression to convey a mixture of confusion, but also like he's already plotting how he intends to execute this idea. Admittedly Jack Skellington was one of the inspirations for his character design. I have used Jack as a reference when trying to create some of Erik's poses.

It shows through his design splendidly. I always love when people draw characters like Erik in that stretch, almost disproportionate style. That's why I've always thought it would be AMAZING if Phantom of the Opera was ever made into an anime- or even a manga set- in the older anime style of the late eighties and nineties; like how the style in the old Vampire Hunter D movie or the original Helsing anime was (If you've seen either or those)

My goodness, Erik has long legs! (Still not long enough to reach Christine's hand, though.)
I'm guessing that plugging in that electrical cord will turn on some lovely, romantic lights.

I was inspired by Susan Kay's version a lot when creating Erik's character design. Kay's version is described as being very thin and almost unnaturally tall. I also use Jack Skellington as a reference.

Well the tower isn't THAT tall. Tall for a college stage production, I suppose, but it's not like a professional Broadway stage set-up.
