And now in the wonderful world of color!But just for this one page. I realized I hadn't done much with color lately. I'm still new to coloring in Photoshop, and this didn't really turn out quite like I wanted, but I had a lot of fun. Honestly I prefer the grayscale. Not only does it give the comic a more Japanese manga look, which is what my style is most inspired by, I feel like it creates a more mysterious, macabre atmosphere.
Although I will say that I really wanted Erik to have this look of desperate longing in the second panel -to be so overcome with emotion that he couldn't help but try to kiss her... I'm fairly satisfied with how that part turned out, at least.

You did a FABULOUS job on the coloring! I think it suits the characters really well. Absolutely love Erik's expression in the 2nd panel. Gah! Just go for it, man! (But I know why he hesitates....)

Well it's a photoshop brush so I'm not sure, but we can say it is, right? Lol. Actually I just added it for an abstract, manga-esque, effect rather than using it to represent anything physical in the setting. I'm glad you liked the coloring. Thank you!

Well, since bookErik had either the words or the music (don't remember which) to "Dies Irae" on the walls in the room where he slept (in his coffin!), I thought the bars of music was a pretty neat tribute.

And !!!!! Coloring is BE-OO-tiful! And I agree about limiting color usage to when it is appropriate to convey emotion. Glad you're sticking to a great theme of using color and shade to convey atmosphere.
About the animated trailer . . . They need more frames per second in their animation. It just looks kinda choppy. I sure hope they get all the help that they need though. I can help in voice department if they're looking.

I agree -they could use more frames per second. But I believe those were just some preliminary sketches/scenes. I'm anxious to see the project take off. And thank you for the compliment on my coloring. I had a good time working on it, but I'm honestly anxious to get back to gray scale. Coloring is fun, but it takes so much time! >_<
