I have to say it is a tough choice.... But Roxas has a much more tragic story in my opinion.... The poor guy doesn't even know who he is. It was also very sad how he lost Xion... and his efforts to try to get her back. The feels got to me when I read Roxas's Diary in 358/2 Days... I choose Roxas all the way, man!

Well, for Ven: He was alone for most of his life, chosen by the foretellers to be a dandelion, one of his teammates dies before they even meet, probably more of them die during the war, he probably gained survivorβs guilt, his memories of the time before the war ie. his life, his friends, even the war, and everything he had in his old life was gone, he had his darkness ripped from his heart by Xehanort which nearly killed him but thanks to Sora heβs alive, he was almost marooned on Destiny Islands by Xehanort because he wouldnβt and possibly couldnβt do what he wanted, he watched his big brother figure turn to the darkness and made a promise to save him but couldnβt go through with it until 10 years later, He almost got killed by his father figure and probably watched him die, he had to fight Vanitas and was willing to sacrifice himself just to save everybody else and I mean WORLDS but lost his heart in the process, missed out on 10 YEARS of his life by being in a deep sleep, not knowing his sister figure was stuck in the darkness and gone and so was his brother figure, he woke up only to fight Vanitas all over again, almost died 2 more times, watched his master come back to him but fade away for good this time, then freaking bury him. Yeah so I say when had it the worst and who KNOWS what his past was beyond before his time as a dandelion.

As much as i like Ven, it has to be Roxas for me

I came up with a theory about them. In Birth by Sleep, Ven ends up in Sora's heart. When Sora gets turned into a heartless, Namine and Roxas were made. Could it be possible, that Roxas looks the way he does because of Sora's connection to Ven?

I was thinking the same myself. Roxas represents a form Sora was used to so when Roxas was born he took on Ven's appearance.

I know that he isn't Ven's nobody, because that would require him to unite with the original Ven, not Sora.
