I believe Valve secretly programed those bots to piss players off in the most minute way possible. And for added fun when you think they won't take the medkit, you use yours to take it instead, then when you healed THEY take it! They even heal you right after you take pills, its insane.

The worst experience I had with the Survivor bots is that once they just stood and stared while I was mauled to death by a Hunter. (After that I have never played Louis. Ever.)

Having bots must be a bloody pain in the Sugar Mill, especially if you're trying to get the Sob Story achievement... (I haven't actually played L4D2, but I heard that this achievement was made to punish those who try to play with even 1 AI bot in tow. o___o )

I think running far ahead and shooting in a generally zombie-free direction can draw the Bots away, but then the risk is getting pounced or dragged away of course...

We just talked about that the map before Coach refused to take it the third time (Dark Carnival 3, near vents in the Tunnel of love - I was carring the fucking gnome!) and when he actually refused to take it, we came up with this.
Another Playthough (Vienna Calling in L4D1), I had another hilarious idea, but I won't spoil anything about it - I just say, it had to do with a Tank we killed.
