I had the 1990 Dazzleglow with dark pink hearts instead of blue as a kid! It's so awesome to see her in new mlp style. She wasn't an alicorn then, only a unicorn.

The first canon Alicorn... was a background Pony. That's pretty ironic.

The princesses are support characters. They are well established and usually play important roles. But Dazzleglow appeared in only one episode and barely had any dialog.
Thinking about it though, it would be nice to see her return in FIM as a proper Alicorn princess. ^^

You are right. She is a becautiful Pony. When I saw her, got a srange feeling. She came from somewhere else. Maybe a different world. She was the First Alicorn in the MLP cartoon. A real princess with real magic.
