I shouldn't have, but here it is.

I was curious to see how this old miniature looked like with a contemporary colour scheme.

This is the third and last time that I paint this particular model. The first time (probably 1991) I used mainly gold with silver details and some black here and there. Since it was entirely painted using drybrush, a bit later I stripped the paint and repainted it in a nice cold grey with gold details. For some reason long forgotten, I stripped that paintjob too and left the model in a collection limbo.

The shape was not very good. The double stripping left their marks and the metal was dull and dirty (back then I didn't know what I was doing). The arms were badly miscast, but luckily I had a couple of white metal spares (I still wonder why) and used those instead of the original lead ones. I had to rebuild the pin on the righ side too.

The base is a Micro Art Studio Derelict base.

Black details: Abaddon Black, Skavenblight Dinge, Stormvermin Fur, Administratum Grey.

Purity seals: Zandri Dust, Gryphonne Sepia (Wash), Ushabti Bone, Screaming Skull, Khorne Red, Nuln Oil, Wazdakka Red, Pink Horror, Fulgrim Pink, Rhinox Hide.

Base: Mournfang Brown, Dawnstone, Administratum Grey, Iron Hands Steel, Averland Sunset, Yriel Yellow, Abaddon Black, Ushabti Bone, Mephiston Red, Evil Sunz Scarlet, Fire Dragon Bright, Warpstone Glow, Moot Green, White Scar, Ryza Rust, Doombull Brown.

Vallejo paints used: Rust Wash, Oil Stains.
