I think some people can have an... overly knee-jerk reaction to kigurumi masks. At the same time, I love the uncanny feeling of a motionless mask. The thousand yard stare of a mask is a constant reminder that it's merely a costume and makes me imagine the performer beneath. I think they're a beautiful art form, but also acknowledge they can be a bit creepy, and that's also part of the appeal for me.

I try hard to not make my art characters look like no souls or masked but most of cartoon/anime style have big head it easy to look like a mask.
I'm little bit confuse about people who enjoy mask/suit it weird too deep to understand for me - -*

It's funny that you say the anime looks like masks when the masks are really supposed to look like anime. Someone had the idea that the proportions of an anime character are kinda the same as if you put on a slightly oversized mask. But, you definitely don't want your characters to look lifeless if they're supposed to be real.

It's complicated why people like suits. I have little interest in poorly crafted suits, but well-made suits have an almost magical effect where someone can bring a character to life. I love how suits can bring fantasy into reality... but also the hints that fantasy is an illusion.

I think it's hard to know whether you like it or not without trying it for yourself. If you're remotely interested, you might just enjoy it. Sadly, it can be hard to find a good costume. Maybe volunteer as a mascot?

Mmm, I have no idea what the situation is in other countries. It could be tough.

This type of costume in particular is called kigurumi and here's a list of makers who sell them , though I can't really help on the cost front

I can relate to her. As a kigurumi the heat can get unbearable in there.
