Yay! I did it!
This is my entry for new "Coloring Book Challenge" contest.I new instantly that this was a contest I just HAD to get into! First off, I'm not the most educated when it comes to coloring, so I figured that this would give me some motivation to practice.
I started searching for coloring book pages and saving them, then the idea hit me when I was looking at Mulan coloring pages. I began to think about the beautiful style of Chinese ink paintings and decided that I wanted to make it represent that style. I tried looking up specific painters to find a style to base my picture off of, but none really struck a chord with me, so I took inspiration from various pictures I found.
This was incredibly fun to do and I learned so much from it! I'll probably be doing more of these in the near future. :wink:

If I could offer some critique, I would simply tell you that the scale is just a little bit off. Khan looks huge compared to her.
Her face, however, is beautiful and your horse's anatomy combined with the style makes up for size entirely.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I'm not sure if you read the artist comments, but I actually just redid lineart and colored a coloring page. I guess I could have scaled down Khan if I wanted to, but I wanted to stay as original to the page as possible as I'm not too educated on equine anatomy or even human anatomy! Thank you for the critique though, I'll keep it in mind for future pieces.
