Description So my darling =Candy2021 talked me into doing this thing. I've been kind of wanting to but I just never had enough inspiration to really go through with it until I knew someone else wanted to see it and was curious who inspired me. So here we are!

And now, a little info about each one and just how it inspired me! I'm going to group some of them together as some of them I found or was inspired by around the same time.

Interstella 5555 and Jamie Hewlett - I'm sure many people were introduced to these two at the same time as I did when Toonami or whatever it was played them together during the late night stuff way back when. At that point in my life I was only just kind of starting as an artist. Sure, I'd been doodling since I was a little girl but it wasn't much of anything serious but these two really sparked a sort of creative fire under my behind and I've been more into doing art and making characters ever since. Gorillaz, Sailor Moon and Zelda were the first thign I ever made fan characters for, the first time I ever wrote fan fiction and while I'm ashamed to admit it, I even had a very blatant mary sue for Gorillaz (named Violet Rose who was dating 2D. Yeah, I know, so lame!) and as for Interstella, I just was completely in love with the colors in it! So vibrant and fierce and who knew blue people could be so beautiful!

Kingdom Hearts - While it didn't come about until later in my life, Kingdom Hearts has definitely inspired me in the ways of both character design as well as my own personal outlook on life. Something about Kingdom Hearts just really spoke to me. It brought such different things together (The goofy cartoony-ness of the Disney chars with the rough ruggedness of Square Enix characters) and made it WORK. And I loved it and I'll continue to love it. Also, I just loved the themes of friendship and always sticking together and have always been inspired by that when it comes to how I go about my own friendships and relationships in life.

Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop - In my earlier stages of being an artist I was inspired a LOT by anime (as you can see by the fact that three animes grace this chart in the first place, four if you count Interstella) and OS and CB are no acceptions to that although their level of inspiration isn't necessarily on an artistic level as much as a general theme as far as character creation goes. They showed me those darker charters, they showed me the brooding heros types and deranged villains and things of that nature and really helped to give me experience in just all the different personality types that are out there.

ElfQuest - The is nothing that has inspired me more as a artist, character designer and writer. I grew up with this series, I started reading it when I was so young (like 5 or 6, perhaps younger) and I was completely enchanted with the storyline, characters and art. Most people get into the fantasy genre through Lord of the Rings or Dungeons and Dragons or things of that nature, but nope, I got into it thanks to ElfQuest. Anyone who knows me knows my #1 favorite genre is fantasy and all things fantasy-based and ElfQuest is the primary reason for me having gone down that path. Also, of all the things on this map, I think my style reflects parts of the ElfQuest style more so then any other thing on here. The way I do eyes in particular is very inspired by EQ, as well as how I draw hair shapes and fantasy-type clothing. I will always love ElfQuest and will always be thankful to have it in my life and if you have never read it please go and do so , they let you read it all on their website cause they're awesome!

The Venture Brothers - I'm not sure if TVB inspired my art style necessarily, but it definitely inspires me. I love it's goofy themes and characters with occasional more deep or serious subject matter. If there is any series that's made me want to try and work more on adding more silly or funny themes to my writing and characters it's this one.

World of Warcraft - While I no longer play I used to be a hardcore WoW geek, and was very intense about RP on it and making characters. I loved my chars from there so much that I'm still trying to find ways to bring them over into a non-WoW environment so thatI can make use of them again. I love the warcraft universe as much as I love any sort of fantasy-based series and it's because of WoW that I became as intensely involved in character design as I am. (I always had a love of character deign, but it wasn't until WoW that I really started to realize just how much I love it.)

Jem - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color schemes in Jem. Them and Interstella have definitely inspired me the most in how I choose colors for my characters and art. I love vibrant and bright things that really just catch the eye and Jem definitely was big in helping with that. Also, the way they did makeup and clothing design has definitely inspired me to work on improving my own skills in those areas.

Disney - What artist or animator isn't at least partially inspired by Disney? I'm not necessarily inspired by the style nor does it reflect in my art, but Disney has definitely inspired me to go for my dreams and just go at what I love with all I have.

Rugrats and Doug - There are many other cartoons from the Rugrats and Doug era I could include as well, for many of the same reasons, but I'm including these two because they have influenced me the most, and honestly, I didn't even realize until I was older and rewatched them just how much they did! Cartoons just aren't made like this anymore, they tackled some really serious themes but yet did them in such whimiscal or cute ways (specially with Rugrats). I'm sure one of the many reasons I grew up to be such an open-minded individual is thanks to cartoons such as this and others who really tackled subjects that most cartoons nowadays never will.

Avatar: The Last Airbender - Ah, A:tla, such a wonderful series. This is the series that really influenced me to work harder on my special effects with fire and water and things of that nature. I love the look and feel of the elements in the series and am constantly trying to work on how I do them myself, not necessarily copy the way they do it as much as find my own way but they definitely helped spur me in the direction of working on that.

Naoko Takeuchi - Primarily her work with Sailor Moon, I love this artists work! While like I mentioned I was inspired a lot by anime in general, it's Sailor Moon that got me into drawing in the first place! I remember getting up early when I was really young to watch this (and I believe Ronin Warriors) and just loving it so much and trying to draw the characters. One of my first ever fan characters was a Sailor Moon and Zelda hybrid that I called Sailor Hyrule! (which I actually kind of want to recreate someday cause it's a fun concept.) Like I mentioned in the fist thing, Sailor Moon, Gorillaz and Zelda all really played a big part in shaping me as the crazy fangirl type that I am today, haha.

Daria - Daria helped to show me that a storyline can have more depressing undertones or even a very depressing main character and still be a very compelling and interesting show. It inspired me to work more on diverse personality types and working with characters who aren't necessarily the easiest to get along with or the happiest.

Legend of Zelda - Ah, Zelda, beloved of my heart, my favorite game series of all time. My first tattoo is going to be a Triforce in honor of my love of the Zelda series. As mentioned already a few times, I was inspired a lot by Zelda and other things at that time to become an artist and character designer. My first fan fiction was a Zelda one, some of my first ever chars were Zelda fanchars, I really was very into Zelda and while I'm not a super crazy Zelda fangirl now (at least not in the making fan chars and writing fan fiction sort of way. I still play the crap out of every single game and look forward to every new one) I will always be thankful to nintendo for bringing this wonderful series into my life.

Honorable Mentions - Some other things that have inspired me over the years that don't necessarily take a big part of influence of me but deserve at least a mention would be: Trigun, Kaleido Star, Marvel and DC (and most superhero comics in general), Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons, Exalted, Suikoden, Breath of Fire, Lufia, and Tales of -insertsomethinghere- games. There are probably others and I may edit this list if I ever think of any but this is about the gist of it.

Well, I hope that was education and interesting for you all! Have a wonderful day/night/whatever <3
