Well it's almost 2012, so that means the 2012 Calendar that I illustrated for the Australian Bible Society is out, hurrah!So here's one of my favourites from it; the Good Samaritan. I was thinking about how hard it is to lift a 'dead weight' when I drew this; it's not easy trying to lift someone when they're not helping!
The story is one from the Bible that Jesus told in Luke 10:25-37, to illustrate how we should help others, and that a true neighbour can be the person you least expected.
Pencilled and inked on paper, then scanned and coloured in Photoshop CS4.

Luckily I drew this picture before that movie came out, so no-one can say I copied Maximus, but I agree that he and my donkey here might be mistaken for relatives
