Hey, so I felt like digging into the archives and dusting off this one.
Hope you guys dig it, it's Jesus doing a bit of temple spring-cleaning, righteous-wrath-style.
It's one of the pages from the Story of Jesus comic I illustrated…… whoa, over 5 years ago now, how did THAT go by so quick??
Anyway, just thought it'd be fun to post the coloured art without the lettering clogging up things.
From the book of Luke, chapter 19, verses 45-48.
P.S And yeah, I thought the way I drew his beard was pretty cool 5 years ago, but now I have regrets, shoulda' made it look less 'Tony Stark'.

One thing I don't understand is why the Pharisees so unhappy about this... Jesus cleared the temple for them. Unless they actually allowed this marketing stuff in the grounds...

The other thing I put in the comic is that the sheep realise they're being watched, and every now and then they are looking out of the panel at the viewer (it's hard to see but the sheep in the top right corner is doing it)

(I also like to put a lot of details in the comics. I think it's a thing you cannot do that much in movies or others cinematographic arts for example, but in comics, the reader can just stop on a panel an look at all the details, without being in a hurry ^^ )

I'd love to do a comic book version of different bible stories, but there's so many good versions out there already, I'm not sure if adding my version is really needed.

Yeah, the beard looks trendy, but for verisimilitude you'd probably need something a little less trimmed and tidy. I doubt Jesus was up early shaving his beard to just the right shape

Words are like spices. You can get by just fine with salt, pepper and garlic, but sometimes you need to use something a little more flavorful. That's why vocabulary is so fun
