It would be funny if he miscalculated at the beginning of the series, and this is some sort of secondary side effect because of the guys every day life. I can't imagine that he eats to well. Given his personality. I bet he stuffs himself with junkfood all the time.

The idea and I had was that basically Johnny found out about some muscular enhancement study Reed was working on and demanded he get to be a subject for it.Β Basically day dreaming about becoming all big and powerful with everyone saying how awesome he is.Β Reed keep insisting that its not really ready for field studies yet but Johnny badgers him about it until Reed finally gives in.Β The results are as follows.
I personally saw the daydream sort of like this...
Complete with everyone else looking like drawings being held up on popsicle sticks, and their voices sounding an awful lot like Johnny doing a crappy impression of them.
