Alright today is a big day! So…Huh… Where do I begin?

Maybe with a hello? Yeah greetings are usually a good start, so hum… Hi!

Okay let’s the serious stuff begin now, to make it simple I’ve been following you for a veeeeeeery long time, actually I even think I created this DeviantArt account because of you and especially your mfb related art. But the thing is that I used to be part of the “silent community”, you know, that community that enjoys the artworks, put likes and all, but never gives feedback. Which is a true pity for the artists, like you.

So yeah, I’ve been around for a while but never told you what I thought about your art and I’m highly regretting it because each time I saw a new piece of yours it literally gave me life. Your art style is like so amazing, even after all this time I never got bored of it, it’s quite the opposite in fact, I loved it more and more as I was seeing new works of you. I saw your style and your technique progress and improve through the time, and even though I always found that you were talented that made me so happy to see your skills getting better and better.

Besides the quality of the artworks, I really got attached to your amazing Momo and her story with the beautiful and handsome Egyptian Prince Nile, it was both funny and very touching at the same time. Once again I never got bored of seeing new things about them and their relationship or even simply about Momo because she’s such an unusual and yet so lovely OC.

You know what? I would even dare to say that I kinda grew with your artworks so I got emotionally go attached to your universe with these two dorks.  

Also you were like my friendly regular reminder that this amazing show existed. Each time I saw a new art from you in my deviations I was immediately brought back years ago when I used to watch Beyblade every day after school. So many feelings ha!

Frankly, there are plenty of exceptional artists here on DA, but yeah, you always had a special place in my heart and when you posted your last drawing with Momo and Nile last year (the one called “BeyMF::. Say Cheese”) after a little time with no more mfb related works from you it hit me like a damn hurricane (sorry for the bad words but honestly I don’t know how to say it otherwise). I was torn between two major feelings:

-The pure enormous joy of seeing them once again, I remember that I sincerely felt like a kid opening their presents on Christmas day;

-The bitter taste of realisation that I missed your mfb artworks more than I could imagine; I won’t say that I was addicted to your artworks, but just that they meant a lot to me.

I still remember you asking in that post if anybody missed your ship and I clearly see myself answering a “HELL YES!” in front of my screen but never wrote in down for some unknown reasons. I hope it isn’t too late to let you know it.

 Now I realised that I didn’t tell you all that whereas you freaking deserve it. I’m so sorry.

So last time you posted a mfb artworks that fucked me up (once again, sorry for the swearing) so how do you think I felt when, after spending months away from DA, I come back here and  fall on this artwork in my noctifications?

Well, actually at first nothing because I legit refused to believe what I was seeing (it’s funny how powerful a brain can be when it decides to deny the obvious) but then I clicked on the link and I was finally able to see the full piece clearly.

So what did I feel after that moment of confusion you’re asking? Oh, let’s just say that there’s definitely no way that this actually brought tears to my eyes because of the nostalgia (àthis is a lie, I didn’t cry but came really close to do it. Feelings, so many feelings and not only nostalgia even if that was a big one).

Okay okay enough emotional talk for now, I’m going to do what I’m supposed to do in the comment section: Commenting the artwork!

I could say that this drawing is beautiful beyond the words, that it’s amazingly incredible or purely extraordinary but it still wouldn’t be enough to describe perfectly what I feel looking at it. Frankly I’m not even sure to have the right vocabulary to explain how outstanding this artwork looks to me.

First of all the line art. It is simply wonderful. Like, they’re both so pretty omg. I don’t understand how you can draw characters in a such attractive way, the proportions are perfect, every line is where it is supposed to be and sheesh, their anatomy is… I don’t even know how to say it! Look at those impressive muscles Kyoya is having! Just look at the biceps, the muscular shoulders, the torso muscles , that well defined neck (WITH THE ADAM’S APPLE WHOOP WHOOP), goooooooooooosh. Sahara doesn’t need to be jealous though, she also got a very good treatment for her body shaping.

Have I talked about how impressive it is how fucking expressive their faces are? Because it is. Sahara seems to be so concerned about Kyoya’s well-being may this be by her expression or the way she’s holding his hand in hers. That’s very touching. There’s a lot of feelings coming this artwork.

So you got it I loved the line art, but when you add the colors, the shading, the play with the light, etc… I swear the drawing becomes mind-blowing. It is just so perfect? The whole shading work gives volume to the initial forms and thus it brings more realism. Like I really enjoy how Sahara’s hair is turning darker and darker as you get closer to the bottom of her hair. Talking about shading on hair, you perfectly master that aspect, no doubt about that. I love how you coloured and detailed their hair so much (well not only the hair actually but that’s what got me fascinated the most in this drawing). Sahara’s hair looks so fluid and light, while Kyoya’s is messy as ever but that fits him so well.

I also like a lot the light reflections on their hair, their eyes, but also on Kyoya’s clasp on his belt and their jewels. It adds so much realism!

I want to focus on the background now, because wow. What a splendid background you’ve made here. That sunset sky is breath-taking, with all these colors and the work of the light on the clouds is very impressive. I’ve got to mention the vegetation you drew because even if it’s all blurry (which was made in purpose I guess)  this is so important to have it, the whole thing looks far less empty thanks to the present vegetation and those 2 branches coming before Kyoya are a very clever move, I like it a lot.

If you’re still reading after all that than let me tell you to be brave, you’re almost finished, this is going to be my final remark about your commission: The lips. I adore how you manged to make their lips looking full (I think that the Spanish word for that is “carnoso”, not sure though).  It’s a little detail but that’s detail that I don’t see very often in other artworks and that counts for me.

So all in all : You didn’t only draw this, you brought it to life and I just can stare at it in awe.

As I said earlier in the note I sent you, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS, LIKE HOLY SHIT.

You always manage to capture the emotions and connections of characters so well, and these two are no exception!
I love the life in the eyes and in how they’re looking at each other. As I mentioned, you can practically hear Sahara speaking just by looking at this drawing!
Also like, I didn’t mention this earlier but oh my lord do their Black Mirage outfits look gorgeous in this drawing. Everything from Sahara’s braid to Kyoya’s earring, I just... they’re just too beautiful holy shit.
You’ve really inspired me and cheered me up with this drawing, and now I really really really want to write a scene focusing around what’s happening... how Kyoya got hurt, what exactly she’s saying to him, etc...
So thank you. Thank you thank you thank you for this beautiful wonderful amazing drawing and for taking the time to draw my little ship! 💙
