Description Just a quick character that I drew last night since I couldn't fall asleep. I had just read the Count of Monte Cristo through my second time, so there is a bit of an influence in this picture (evident in the character's rapier... heh).

This was done very quickly, so has a more chaotic sketchy look to it. I intend, in a later work, to perhaps ink and colour him properly.

Well, again it is quite proportionally correct (I assume that thin arms and legs are a element of style, so this has nothing to do with mistakes), but i get a strange feeling the right (from my view) hip is to thin. It would coloured look better, I think.

I like this one very much - there are some wonderful details
( the front ruffle area of the shirt, the buckle/belt at the waist,
the sword, the bottom of the pants, the legs and the shoes ).
Really give some thought to continuing your work on this
character with emphasis on the shadow-work and contrast on
those parts. I think The Count could be a pretty terrific work
of art !

Interesting...the only thing that bugs me is how the fingers are pointed and overlong, although I admit they do fit with the rest of the drawing...overall, a good piece
