*****Version 1.9 is out!******IMPORTANT NOTE FOR 1.7 USERS: Due to the magnitude of the code changes, you should restart adium, toggle between adiumychat and any other messagestyle and then toggle between the variants in adiumychat to clear any cache adium might have kept
And here it is, FINALLY!
The companion to the much hyped iDium Message Window mod.
I present to you, the AdiumyChat message style!

I liked this better when it was just released and all clean. Now it seems blotted with all the fancy animations. Also, it would be great if you could make a version with the actual iChat bubbles. Just a suggestion, not a request. Anyway, happy birthday, dude.

havnt added a single animation to this since 1.5
there are more features, yes, but they are all turned off by default, you have to do something (ie, click and element etc) to trigger them
as for the actual ichat bubbles, you can do it yourself, just swap out the incoming and outgoing bubbles with ichat ones

That's really good, but not a fan of the black border for the bubbles. I would prefer a darker base one as in iChat Matte by Josh Bryant.

yeah, my original bubbles were like that and will be making a comeback by 1.9 or 2.0 along with atleast two other alternative bubble styles

Another update! Just as I was going to comment on a possible request. I love the Shuffle feature, while keeping the outgoing a single color. My only "issue" with this is when it randomizes to the same color I'm using for outgoing. Maybe it's just me, but I don't want them to be the same color at any given time, heh.
With 1.7 now, I think the bubbles got glossier? Not a deal breaker, will still keep using! but I think I liked them more matte-like.

the shuffle edit had already been implemented for 1.8
as for the bubbles, yes they were redrawn
but yeah, if you prefer those, i'll be releasing them in a separate message style as soon as the code for adiumychat is mature enough [gotta iron out a few more bugs

I tried editing the .css files but it didn't seem to work. Would it be possible to make a Orange incoming - Grey Outgoing style? Or vice versa?

but its easy to make orange incoming/grey outgoing
