All artists look at references to get anatomy and shading right. Its part of drawing. However, P-Duck did not simply trace a photo. I have seen the references he used, and none of them would be traceable to produce the picture posted above. He used them as references for creating his own picture. So, hopefully this is a one-time thing, because you shouldnt diss another artist without knowing the facts.

BTW Ive seen some of your art, Chee Tree. Youre very good. Keep it up!

oh and the 'wild cat' he posted was also traced. here's the photo. [link]
think about it, pallas cats dont have long tails, neither are they wild cats, yet if he knew that pallas cats didnt have tails, and he didnt trace the photo, he would have made the tail short. yet the butt is missing from the picture, and he doesnt know pallases have short tails, neither does he have a clue about cat species! so therefore, he must have traced.

dont tell me that

he showed you different photos, but not this one. all he did was flip the image, and called it his. flip it back, and layer it over the original photo and you have your proof.

well you probably shouldnt start a book with traced drawings. just saying. hopefully this is a one time thing, because you shouldnt post art from a reference without giving credit to the original photographer

References will be posted. I'm compiling them as I go.

still, unless you have a creative liscense, or this is a stock photo, you can be fined for taking photos.

Maybe in the future. I am currently working on all these animals and monsters to do an rpg bestairy book. So, right now, I just need the critter itself. When I am done, I may come back to it.
