This pic has been a couple of years in the coming. Several years ago, my buddy Landon ran a "superhero" game for me where I played Codex (pictured in the center).

Codex was new to the Cincinnati area, and -- since the discovery of his superpowers -- he was determined to use his abilities to make the money he would need to get to college. Using his abilities to understand any language (including human body language and complex computer coding) Codex was able to infiltrate the local Cincinnati underworld and ally with the head of vice crime: Lady Midnight. After solidifying his position within her organization, Codex started making some decent money.

Unfortunately, a rival to Midnight's power rose from the grave... literally. One of Midnight's former prostitutes, Kelly Ashland, arose as a vampire and began to tear down Midnight's criminal network. Hoping to infiltrate Kelly's organization, as he had Midnight's, Codex befriended Roxy Rockstar (pictured to the left in pink roller skates). Roxy and Codex soon developed a romantic relationship, despite his discovery that Roxy was transgendered. He also discovered her super-human strength granted from her consuming the blood of vampire Kelly.

In an effort to destroy vampire Kelly, Midnight called on the services of supervillain Mephisto. To counter Mephisto, Kelly has Codex help in the release of the supervillain Oracle from prison. Low and behold... Oracle is actually Codex's father! And Oracle has a "big plan" to pit all of Cincinnati's villains against each other in the hopes of killing them all and taking over as the king of vice crime.

Recently, a new costumed character has appeared in Cincinnati, seeking to kill Oracle: the regenerating Pantera (pictured in the fishnet catsuit on the right). Codex has learned that Pantera is Oracle's daughter (Codex's half-sister) and is determined to avenge herself on Oracle for the treatment of her mother.

And so the campaign has gone, of and on for a couple of years. Will the young Troublemakers survive the villain war that is about to break loose upon the streets of Cincinnati? Hopefully we can all get back together and continue this awesome story!
