Pretty nice linework. It's rare to see a full body picture of the bird. People always try to hide parts of him so they don't have to go to all the trouble and detail out ever piece. But is it is nice.

I think every artist gets those boughts. Some more than others. And if your life and job does not depend on you being the top artist and you do it more of fun and hobby....then yah those boughts come really often

Am seriously loving your take on the Roc, far too many folks just go for the Giant Eagle look, no personality or individualism....but this, this demands stories....and of course now I'm going to be up all night writing....dangit.
I would say I am quickly becoming a fan of your style and approach to the standard creatures, but I think we both already know I'm already a fan, lol. I see there being a great deal of interesting things being drawn in the very near future my friend!

But you are right, I really wanted the roc to be seen as a monster, not just as a giant bird. Being a super-fan of the Sinbad films with the Harryhausen monsters, this is what I think of when I think abnout rocs.
