Description
Describe to me your ideal life; One free from pain and strife—
And I'll extrapolate from there,
Why our world is unfair.
Is it not merely perception unique,
That individuals suffer within?
God has disallowed us a peek
At what lay behind his grin.
We squander our sentience
Pondering the possible meanings of our existence—
Why not forget about our penitence
And focus on the essence…
Of nothingness,
And how enthralling it can be
To embrace the true meaning of "free"…
~
We will never have true freedom. Our forefathers and foremothers ensured that their every fear was coddled through and by means of enacting restricting social contracts. Our evolution—if only on a mental level—revolves around and is hindered by any one given society's moral compass. But I know how fruitless an endeavor it would be to attempt to sway the masses to change; there is far too much backlash from the mistakes of our past to ever attempt a stable and peaceful state-of-nature. Technology, subcultures, political correctness; the list goes on.
No, not everything that has come from our past is wrong and or illogical. Some technologies are purely beneficial, for example.
Very few people are willing to embrace inner anarchy; instead, they choose the more visceral approach and act on their desires for relatively fear-free lifestyles. Granted, there are a many few who do choose the opposite. If everyone would just be at peace with oneself, so much so that they could face their fears, then we wouldn't need to build separate bathrooms, congregate with people of similar skin tone and cultural backgrounds, etc.
True freedom is a life without fear; a life where people understand the logic of peace without enforcement.
