I don't actually like this ship very much, but i do like how in the show they actually go out of their way to portray unhealthy relationships, that's something that often gets ignored in mediaSpeeddraw of this picture

But yeah, I will admit, I am happy they dwell into unhealthy relationships, something that the media tends to either ignore or portray very poorly.

Wait, unhealthy relationships? Did I miss something, I've been out of the loop for a bit. Last I remember about these two was Lapis running away due to not wanting to be involved in the war and leaving Peridot behind. If anything that's more like a messy breakup to me.

Maybe that's just me but the way Peridot was acting around Lapis in that episode felt pretty close to an awful realtionship i have been in. And fortunately that did end in a messy break up

I can understand the rationale. Personally, I saw it as Peridot letting herself be a Doormat cause she didn't want to upset Lapis, but in the process was effectively letting Lapis walk all over her. A true abusive relationship in this show I see as Jasper and Lapis.Β
