Description
I seriously don't know, guys. What possessed me to draw this? I don't even know what's going on. Is Dr. Ochanomizu going somewhere? Why is that sad? If someone wants to figure this out, I'm open to suggestions.Related content

There was an episode that I recall that was unusual for a cartoon (even an adventure cartoon) of the period (the 1960s) on U.S. television. Possibly in Japan it was more sophisticated.
Professor Ochanomizu (in the U.S. his name was "Professor Elephun" because he was fat and had a big nose ("trunk") and Astroboy get word that a country is being tyrannized by a dictator. Both have close friends (Ochanonizu's is a scientist; Astroboy's is a young boy) who are fighting the tyranny. The story follows about the overthrow of this tyranny, but both of the two friends died in the course of overthrowing it - sacrificing their lives at the end to do so. As a result, while Ochanonizu and Astroboy are glad to have helped topple the dictator and his regime, the last moment was poignant: both without saying anything to each other look into the sky in opposite directions thinking of their dead friends. Nothing like it ever appeared in American television cartoons of that period (even if a character died, there was something "funny" about the demise or the "heaven/hell" aftermath).
