Wow, what a beautiful picture. Never thought that we'd see pictures of Elsa and Bilbo on dates in Middle-Earth, but I think it's a fine idea. They deserve to do more than fight orcs and goblins, and outsmart trolls and dragons.
I love how the picnic has started to be laid out, but isn't completely unpacked. It makes it feel like the two of them got to talking before eating, and have now completely forgotten the food is there. In a way, that's sweet because it suggests they care more about each other's company than about the food.
The sunset background also adds to the romantic atmosphere. Most of the time you see picnics happening during midday, or close to. By putting it at sunset it appears that you are suggesting that Bilbo was thinking of Elsa, and trying to pick a time where she'll be comfortable. At sunset, it's not too hot, but not too cold either.
What I like most about this picture is how Bilbo is blowing smoke rings on his pipe, and how Elsa is blowing snowflakes through them. It serves as a nod to the scene from The Fellowship of the Ring, where Bilbo and Gandalf are reminiscing about the old days before the birthday party. This also suggest that Elsa is starting to settle in to Middle-Earth, and is growing used to the ways of the Hobbit.

Unusual choice for a pairing, Better than some I've seen though. I think they would be friends though.
Could be interesting to see how she'd interact with some of the characters in the story.

Oh, as for what they should do next for a date, maybe Bilbo could show Elsa his gardens. Or maybe introduce her to some of the folk around Hobbiton. I bet the kids would like her powers.
