i got permissin from ~eosis to draw this. i used 6b and 4b charcol to draw this.isnt he hot.

Wow this is really great. I agree with cinquain, but you dont have to remove the border, just choose the grayscale option in Photoshop, that way you'll get even black and white colors all over the border. I love the lips and nose, and offcourse the hat and the eyes. The necklace is well done without any texture to it, makes everything look perfect, awesome job

thank you. i only had 3 days to work on this. was really busy that week. i think the only thing that needs help is his neck. i erased and redid it at least 3 times.* yeh, im a perfectionist... one of my worst but best qualities* hehe
i will take time to check out your gallery this week when i can spend more than 10 minutes for leisure time.

You've captured the lights and shadows well. The expression on his face is very natural, and the hat looks real -it's as if, if you touch it you'll really feel the fabric itself
The only thing I'm gonna whine about is the frame. Somehow it doesn't seem to fit the picture in the right way (Because of the colour? Dunno).
But still, an awesome picture!

the only reason the frame is like that is because it was my first time doing that(didnt know what i was doing) so i used a marker for the border. i dont have any idea how to do the frame on the computer(i dont think i have the right software, unless you can do it on microsoft word?)

thanks. i thought it turned pretty good. i think its the best portrait i'be ever done for the short time i had to work on it. i didnt start on it until last monday and finished 3 days later to put it on DA at my friends house. i dont have a scanner so i had to go all the way across town to *rosebud86 's house. thats how she found out who you were. you should make more pics for me to draw.

This is quite beautiful. The whole thing is executed wonderfully, and I commend you on doing such a great job on the fabric of his hat. Fabrics are such a bitch to do. (I have no patience for it.) The eyes are fantastic. The depth you've captured is truly great. The only thing I can see in regards to this picture that I don't like is the border. I'm assuming it was supposed to be black, but it's come out an odd burnt brown color (black marker?). I'm also not crazy about the title being beneath the picture the way it is. It's distracting from the piece. Overall this is wonderful, though. Great job.

thanks alot. in person, the border was really black. i think when a different light hits it, it looks another color. i really never did any other pics like this so i didnt know what to do with the name sooo...thats what happened
