Description So this is a compilation of my latest body studies.
Some of them were began as 60 second drawings followed by some cleaning and redrawing. The others are basically drawings that I attempt to do "fast" (understand by this, not spending hours on detail and trying to catch the overall picture), I think none took more than 7 minutes to do (the average being 4-5 minutes I think)

Even though I've progressed, there's something missing, and I can't put the finger on it... so if any of you guys have any idea of what it could be, please do tell!

Feel free to comment!

Looking at some of your prior body studies, I'd say you've come a long way. I'm still learning anatomy as well, but I circled some places that look strange to me.

[link]

1. The elbows should not curve inwards as much as they do. Try straightening them or having them bend outward instead. Currently they give off the feeling that something is wrong or broken.

2. There are two things I noticed here. First is the shoulders seem to lose definition as the armpit is not well defined. Have the armpit curve with the shoulder. Second is the chest on the left side should curve in towards the neck a little more. The way it is makes it looks a bit stiff.

3. The shoulder on the right (our right) is being twisted forward but it looks off somehow.

4. The hip here is uneven and lop sided. I think you need to bring the curve on the left up a hair.

5a. The neck needs to be straightened out so it doesn't steal definition from the shoulders as much.

5b. Try to gently curve the inner torso so it doesn't give the body a stiff feel.

6a. The shoulder on the right is a tad too long and makes her look coffin shaped like a man.

6b. The hip curve is not well defined on the right and adds to the top heavy look. Also try to lengthen the inward curve of her waist to help with softening the overall shape.

7. I think the big problem here is the center of balance is off. She looks like she's going to tip over. Try to stager the leg on our left (her right) to take some of the weight. Or you could try and lean her body in the other direction. (Keep the pose but bend her body a bit more and lean it so her hip sticks out more.

For these area and any you feel need work, try drawing and redrawing those poses until you feel content with them. Hope this helps.

Thank you for this very useful feedback!
It's crazy how errors tend to pop out when pointed by somebody else
Also, just as a precision, some poses may seem weird because I did not draw all the scene (like for the 7, she was relying on a wall or something, but your comment is still very relevant).

Thanks again, and feel free to ask me if you want some noob's feedback

You capture moves really well No matter the pose, whether it's sitting, standing. The anatomy is well respected, and proportions as well. The ones whose back is to us is generally better in terms of anatomy. From what I see, the only improvement I could see would be working on the feet and maybe trying a man, and dynamic studies (like running, fighting etc)

Thank you for your feedback!
I do plan to practice feet someday (I've already tried the hands, and I learned the hard way how tricky they are!) as well as dynamic poses. But I these days I'm a bit more in to faces with which I'm struggling...

Feel free to ask if you need a noob's feedback

I did a lot of research for good tutorials. Here's the link to the collection of tuts I've collected and there's stuff for digital coloring/composition/human bodies/colors...

I hope it's useful to you
