For the first day of 365-DaysOfDoodles 7 Day Art Challenge365-DaysOfDoodles
The theme for Day One is a selfie, so basically a self-portrait. For me, what I wanted to focus on with this piece is about the way I view myself physically, and also mentally. I've always been aware that I am extremely short, so I chose to emphasize that part of myself that has grown to be both a blessing and complex at times. Thus, I chose to position myself looking up.
Since I am a self-conscious person, the demons in the piece sprouting out of my mind are those constant worries/thoughts that make me doubt myself. I'm a truly anxious person and I have been dealing with it for most of my life, which is why I felt it was important to include this within my 'Selfie.'
