Ahh, good ol' L. I was inspired to draw him after rereading Death Note, which I LOVED the first time around anyway. What's interesting though is that this time, I found myself rooting more for L and that has nothing to do with his charming(?) nature or because I thought he was cute. I just admired his efforts and even though I knew things didn't go so well for him at times *spoiler* he did his best. The first time around, I completely rooted for Light 'cause I'm a closet serial killer. *wink wink* No, just kidding.

But anyway, in my mind, I divided Death Note into a Part One and a Part Two, and I have always enjoyed the Part One more. Probably because L was absolutely brilliant throughout.

Sorry for rambling, but really. Sure, others may say there are more talented sleuths out there in anime and fiction, but I love L's character. I think he is not only a great detective, but I think he is infinitely interesting and one of a kind, that's for sure.
