The shadows and highlights are done digitally I presume?

Do you have any tips on how to draw robotics and mechs with simple paper and pencil like this? I'm trying to get good at drawing robotics and vehicles. :3 Fantastic work, man!

I always remembered how my teachers are complaining when they see my notes, full of sketches.. Those are free times back then, to free our mind in the middle of a boring class.

It almost feels like your class notes are actually calculations on the robot you drew, which adds a very nice engineering feeling to it all.
Oh, and your ability to do detail makes me jealous.

Creating machines of death from the looks of it.

What did you use to do the highlights?
It truly is a beautiful piece of paper though. The notes add a messy feeling to it all, in a good way.

Would like to know this too

Yes! I wholeheartedly Agree! Drawing on paper feels much better than digital, here you actually fully FEEL the thing, the resistance of the paper as the tip of your pencil scrape on it, creating the line, the stimuli of diffrent strength and pressure added onto it for a more keen line, or a vague shade~
And Nice sketch by the way, I can't help but imagine this to be some highly advanced Desielpunk Mech though I may be wrong.

Static beam analysis and mecha. Because physics is more fun with a giant robot or two.

Are these building mechanics or physics calculations? They look like beam forces sketches and calculations. I used to do that stuff in high-school, but I can't remember squat from it now. Anyway, pretty good job and a really good design of the mech too! If your teachers saw it, they should be proud to have such a creative mind in their class!

The great thing about this is that it really does look like an engineer's scribblings.

You're totally right. All the calculations and everything really gives it that personal feel.
