Since I’m using the henchmen squads for the Prospero Spire Guard I need to field Inquisitor Coteaz so I’ve converted the finecast Inquisitor to represent him as a general. First he was holding the hammer in his left hand which looked silly given how much it likely weights so I changed it to the other hand and gave him a heroic like pose with the hammer facing down, that was till I got this comment...". . . he ends up looking like he's trying heroically . . . to play croquet."
After which I changed the pose immediately! I also later added in a steel scorpion, another conversion from my previous Machine Cult army to represent his cyber eagle or even a servo skull if I ever choose to use one.
Should I get the time and money I will likely add some more spire guard units to the army using guard allies which will include 1 of each of the following...
Command Squad; simple enough.
Penal Legion ; Need a troop choice but can't have veterans with poorer weapons than the basic troops and I'm not painting up an infantry platoon! Not sure how to convert them at the moment, most likely as a team of specialist spire guard?
Vendetta Gunship; Likely using the conversion concept I came up with for the Prospero disc speeder.
Leman Russ Executioner; Using the FW Deimos Pattern plasma predator to represent it.
Of course they'll have to wait as my next focus for this project will be the Cybernetica units.

For the penal legion, could you do them as Prospero civilians taking up arms?

The Prospero Spire Guard were the human regiment that guarded the Thousand Son's homeworld of Prospero and also fought alongside them in the great crusade.

The defenders of the planet Prospero of course, aka the Planet of Sorcerers, you know the planet Magnus the Red was found on during the Great Crusade? Magnus the Red, the Primarch of the Thousand Sons? Well these are their Imperial Army troops back before the Horus Heresy and the Emperor's horrible decision to punish his loyal son Magnus for trying to warn him of Horus' betrayal. And if you didn't know, the Imperial Army is what the Imperial Navy and Imperial Guard used to be before the Lords of Terra decided to split them after the Horus Heresy to limit the new found Guard's power should they try and revolt.

Actually, I've been watching Proiteus for a while and learned most of that from what he's said previously, there's not a whole lot of info on them online either, nor do I read anything from the Black Library if I can help it, so I didn't mean to treat you like a "smegin twat" for not knowing something that's not really out there unless you spend money. But, if you've been watching Proiteus for more than a week, you probably would have seen his previous kit bashes and learned a little about them along the way. If however, this is your first time watching Proiteus, you have my sincerest apologies, didn't mean to sound like an ass.
