Description With the robots done for the moment it’s time to move onto the 2nd ally of the Thousand Sons the Prospero Spire Guard. As I mentioned before I wanted to create something regal looking but practical and I believe I’ve hit that target with this guy.

I was worried about the top knot at first but it works well with all the other details, however finding that many high elf top knots will prove the larger problem. The ceremonial sword was going to be at the side but it was hard to place on and see due to the gun so I mounted it on the back. Speaking of which they were to be armed with Lasguns then I found out henchmen are armed with a laspistol and close combat weapon so I armed them with boltguns instead, using some bits from an interceptor backpack and the clip of an old bolter to concert the lasgun into a assault rifle.

The robes will be red, the armour gold and the top knot bleached however I’m unsure what tone to use for the visor, suggestions?

The squad I’m building at the moment is a long range support squad and includes 3 plasma cannon servitors which I’m converting into automated mobile defence turrets which are controlled remotely. I still have a few more details to add which you will see when the full squad is completed.

Chaos Space marines have some top-knots as well if you want to try them out. I've always been partial to blue for a visor color. Love the Epic Land Raider, if you run out there are lots of robot-like tracks on ebay reasonaby cheap.

It's an Elysian Drop Trooper with respirator, from Forge World. You can buy packs of ten heads as separate bits.

Orange maybe? To kinda go with the armor but make it obvious that it's different.

this is great. i was wondering how you'd do it. For the visor i'd say purple, it'd tie in well wit some othe the robes.

I'd suggest green for the visor, same as the eye lenses on the Sons. It'll stand out nicely against the red and gold.

Maybe try making some of the top knots with greenstuff? Might be easier than trying to find that many bits, and would add some variation to them as well.

Looking forward to seeing more of these guys!
