Description I should have known better than to post a comment in yesterday's photo about never getting snow in AL... Naturally, mother nature would go and prove me wrong in less than 24 hours This evening at work around 11 or so I start hearing that it is snowing out (my dad had sent me a text telling me it was snowing where he was, and since usually a few hours later, I get the same weather, it didn't really surprise me when I heard this...) But of course tonight I left my camera at home, and besides, I was working until 2 so not like I could find time to stop working and go take my photo... Luckily when I left it was still falling, and to my surprise it was still going when I got home, so out I went with my camera... At this point I should probably mention that to most people, this is not really 'snow'... the fact still remains that it does not get cold enough here very often for snow to accumulate on the ground, so what we had tonight was just snow flakes falling from the sky as would a nice misting rain... feels about the same as well, as soon as the snow hits your skin it melts, and it doesn't snow hard enough for the individual flakes to form into large flurries or whatever the term is, so it's just individual flakes falling down... and then they melt as soon as they hit anything, so it's just like having really nice, very cold rain... Luckily though some of that nice cold rain stayed frozen in my hair long enough for me to capture it, but I still had to sit outside to get it to work, coming inside to the heat would have melted everything hehe... Oh well, it was worth a few minutes outside in the cold... And at least I had my awesome new gloves!!

The snowflakes are actually visible !! Yes, you always have to be careful when saying, "never......" ~ that is what a classmate told me in college. He said to use the would "rarely" instead so as not to get into trouble later!!

WOW! Awesome shot!

We got some snow on the ground here, but nothing accumulated. Not cold enough yet. It snowed all around us on Friday, even made quite a mess in places but not here.

You do look cute and happy in this photo even though you are looking quite..ummm..what the word...a little crazy looking lol. You must be really excited about the snow lol. Well, i'm hoping that all the snow will skip over my area but that's just wishful thinking. Suppose to have 3 days of snow next week

You look genuinely happy in this photo.

What were you thinking of at that exact moment?

Cause that smile isn't put on, that has real warmth to it.

haha I was thinking 'gee I'm really glad this snow kept falling until I got home!' because while I was at work I just knew there was no way it would keep snowing for 3 hours until I could get home...

Now you need to say that huge amounts of money never fall from the sky.

We've got about an inch on the ground, and it's still falling.

You have snow.... so jealous right now, hardly ever get snow over here! well where I am anyway, once a year if we are lucky and even then for two days or less... sometimes it snows at night and by the time morning comes it's gone... so annoying!

But as for the photo you look so happy, its nice, I think a few fairy lights in the background would have made this a wonderful Xmas picture, but still I like it. its natural, like it was taken by a friend or a sibling, and your reacting to something....

Wow, the longest comment to date... xXx

hehe we rarely have snow here either, this was just barely still hanging around at 7am, and by 8am it was totally melted...
