I need to know how to do different colors as well. When I paste a tree, both the leaves and the trunk is green. How do I get a brown trunk, paint it alone?

Oncc you've unzipped the brushes, go into the programs folder of your computer:
Find and open the program folder for GIMP
Open "share"
Open"gimp"
Open "2.0"
Open "brushes", and paste the download brush files into that folder.
Then the next time you open up GIMP, the brushes will be there.
