Description My half of a trade between myself and * knuxfist

I'm not really sure what I think about this piece. I really like the way Blaze and the SA shading turned out, but I'm dissapointed I wasn't able to do some sort of firey effect in it. Fire just doesn't look right in SA style, not right at all. =\

In my opinion, it turned out great. Coloring is fantastic.

I love the both the shading and linart, since I could never do anything that good..

Well, at the moment anyway. I'm trying to work on it. ^^()

Nice job, the shading's turned out well. If you wanted to do fire, I'd say maybe do them very cartoonlike, then add the SA shading to them. I can imagine something in my head, which I'll try to describe (although I'll probably fail! )

The fire's around the top of the hand, surrounding all the fingers and part of the hands. It's got a thick black outline around it, and there is a distinct gap between the fire and the hand. It's bold and cartoonlike, with large-ish curly spouts of fire, rather than small jaggednesses of fire. And it's coloured red on the outside, yellow on the inside, with a distinct difference between the red and yellow (i.e. no blending). The fire is shaded as just like the character, as if it were solid.

I can see it in my head right now, and if you want I can maybe give demonstrating it a go, because I'm sure my description is awful! I think the key is probably to draw it cartoonlike, separated from the character and SA shade it as if it were solid. I hope that's helped

Yeah, I think I know what you're saying. I don't know if I'm going to try adding in any fire later though anyway.

Thanks
