07/12/19 UPDATE:
[Due to a continuity discussion, Xerox's green has been dropped for blue. The reason for this change is because of there are no traces of green fur in Sonic and Infinite's DNA. It also plays into the reason why he is given the name "Xerox" by Tails.]

Xerox the Hedgehog (ゼロックス・ザ・ヘッジホッグ, Zerokkusu za Hejjihoggu?), aka Project Ashura (プロジェクトアスラ, Purojekuto Asura) is an anthropomorphic Hedgehog created by Dr. Eggman as a successor to the "Ultimate Life Form" (究極生命体, Kyūkyoku Seimeitai?) project made by using DNA samples of Sonic the Hedgehog and Infinite.

CONCEPT AND CREATION:
First discovered by Charles "Kiken" Mugg as "Glitch Sonic" in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the glitch that turned Sonic's color pallette from his regular blue, to a green and black. The glitch called "Ashura," can be made to occur by activating Debug Mode and placing waterfalls in a certain pattern/area.

APPEARANCE:
Xerox's first form is physically identical to Sonic: tan skin that covers his arms, muzzle and front torso. He has six long quills on the back of his head, two spines protruding from his back behind his shoulders, and a short tail however, he has ruby-red eyes and black fur that reaches his body, down to the thighs, and parts of the forehead with sections of blue on his quills and his legs. He also has fangs, inherited from his jackal DNA. Xerox's attire was that of Sonic's: two light-weight, hyper friction resistant dirty red sneakers with white cuffs around the ankles, gray soles, and white straps across the top. He also wears a pair of white gloves with sock-like cuffs on his hands.

Xerox's second form would change his appearance and attire slightly after escaping his in prisonment with Dr. Eggman at the Final Egg. Xerox would gain messier quills and a single bang that hung down to his nose and would gain a pair of Lightspeed shoes designed by Dr. Eggman.

Xerox's 3rd and Final Form shows a drastic change in his appearance. He gains six additional thin quills and his main one seem to have gotten Sharper. He ditches his Lightspeed Sneakers and white gloves in favor of a pair of red custom shoes and red open fingered gloves, embedded with ten metallic studs arranged in an upside down triangle.

Xerox has gained two noticed scars on him. The first being his scar over his left eye, gained from an attack by his creator. The second are four small mini scars on his left arm gained from an explosion of his Beserker powers going over. Xerox sees them as a constant reminder never to use the Chaos Emeralds to transform.

PERSONALITY:
Despite being created from Sonic's DNA, Xerox has little social skills or manners. His limited education has left him somewhat naïve to normal society, showing a noticeable fascination with the various comforts and advances it has to offer. This did not change until he met Amy Rose who took him in and began to teach her how the world worked and what making friends ment. To this date, Xerox considers Amy to be his best friend. Xerox's intuition is quite acute. He's able to sense when someone is agitating a comrade and visibly reflects their anger. If pushed to a point where Xerox is feeling a strong emotion of anger, pain, or rage, Xerox is forcefully pushed into his Super form (Chaos Emerald Ver.) where he loses all sense and goes on a rampage. Super Sonic and Super Shadow were able to neutralize the form as well as Amy Rose.

Due to his nature of being part Sonic, Xerox is very soft-hearted, friendly, and sentimental, as he greatly values any and all companionships he experiences. He is quite friendly once his trust is earned and is also is appreciative of others' kindness. Xerox also has a vicious side to him, due to having the DNA of Infinite and learning most of life from Dr. Eggman. When using Chaos energy Xerox becomes more of a feral beast with little rationality. As Xerox taps into and goes deeper into his Super form, his sanity starts to fray and he starts to have trouble comprehending instructions for others while becoming more and more violent and once Xerox is fully into his Beserk Super form, his mindset boils down to "kill everything that moves". He became so mentally unstable that the only known way to non-fatally subdue him is to invoke the fear of death or the fear of killing any of his friends during his rampage. Super Xerox is quite similar to Fleetway Sonic's Super Sonic.

He views Dr. Eggman as a parental figure of some sort as it was the doctor who gave him life. He refuses to call the doctor "Eggman" as that is a insult to him and only refers to him by his true name. When leaving the Eggman Empire and joining the resistance Xerox refuses to kill Dr. Eggman or harm him, in a way, he believes there's good within his creator and hopes he would change his evil ways.

Xerox gets annoyed when getting compared to Sonic. He understands that he was created from some of Sonic's DNA, but he is not the blue blur. This led to Xerox change his appearance slightly to differ himself from Sonic. He wants to be known as his own Hedgehog instead of living in another's shadow.
