     War has been engaged in by humans since the first crops arose. Ever since there has been purposeful territory man has felt a desire to control. War adds excitement to life; what is life without conflict? Dull. War is not only the spice of our lives, but our population control. It is built on restlessness and greed. It is formed from our hateful thoughts, fear of outsiders, and violent nature. Wealth, territory, land, resources; we're in a constant never-ending struggle to rise above the next in line.
     Where would we be without war? Who's to say. We've had large-scale battles for so long it's impossible to discern where we'd be without it. Empires can't be allowed to last indefinitely or their power will become too great. a revolution will tear down the system, a rivalling country will grow jealous, order will be restored by choas and war. Destruction must be asserted in times of desperation.
     War in fact is beneficial to humans as a whole. True, it wreaks havoc on our resources and constructs, decimates economies and slaughters populations. Think though, is it really all that bad? Seriously consider how large our numbers would grow if unchecked by violence on a large scale. Nearly all sectors of the planet are currently struggling with overstressed resources and dwindling space. Imagine this, only adding the lives of those wiped out in combat. Imagine how many more children they would have birthed. How about all the children -these- would have birthed, and so on. The drain on our planet would be monumental. No population can go without limiting factors.
        Warfare creates jobs. Military positions are well-respected, good paying employment. Industrial factories geared towards war provide thousands of jobs I'm sure. Multiple global powers have huge business opportunities within this area, providing a wide range of specialized militial jobs. War simply keeps humanity constantly producing, growing, advancing, So many modern inventions and findings were originally discovered in military researches.
     Have you ever watched a movie without conflict? do you find the idea of reading books where everything is perfect appealing? Probably not. War gives us something to talk about, something to enrapture our passion, a team to root for like a sports team. Militial success gives us national success. All people want to 'belong' for the most part, to be a piece of some social group. This too can be achieved through war. This unites us against a common enemy. Otheriwse, we'd be able to concentrate on each other. Without external conflict, without war we would focus on the flaws of our current comrades. Fighting and discontent would soon spread without a feeling of need for each other.
     In essence, without war... war would be created. To attempt to remove this eternal facet from our lives is futile. We depend on it. All of us. As a race we will constantly strive to rise, as indiviuals we will look for self fufilment. this results 8in a frantic climb to the top that makes peace a l aughable fairytale. Violent in nature, selfish greed consumes most of our bickering race. If not attached to a group we shall surely form our own in the struggle for control and power. Beliefs differ, cultures clash, superiority is disputed by those who know they're better. Thus, we will never have constant reprieve. Our pride will allow only fitful dreams, flickering blips in a blood soaked sea. Look at the media, see what the populace likes? Violence, struggle, anger, pain, WAR!
