Description

My arms are complete! Originally I was going to attach felt to the sleeves to make wings, but that wasn't working for me, so I'll figure out another way to do it. Since my last photo, I've added more fur to the beak (so now it doesn't look like a parakeet), glued down the fur at the bottom of the head, and made hands and arms. I made the hands by sticking fur to some white winter gloves, and the claws are made from leftover foam from building up the face. I think the hands turned out ok, although the left one is a bit dodgy.

The gloves I used in my last photo were the cheap dollar store gloves I used two years ago for my zombie Coryn costume... I was in need of an upgrade.

Every year on earth day I go to the kindergarten class where my mum works to tell the kids about birds. I think maybe I might wear this then. You've heard of teaching by example, but how about doing that when teaching kids about owls?
