I feel similar! When I see someone younger I want to try harder but in that same time I think it's pointless. In that same time if I'm drawing I'm to worried that I won't Improve anymore and that scares me...

i thought when I began to be in deviantart that I wouldn't be able to get anyone to like my art, no matter how much I tried, and then I saw people commenting and giving favorites to my works. And even if Im not that popular, I know that theirs people that like my work and that will always support me, just like a family. I can relate to this comic, because I have gone through the same.

This is very powerful, I just discovered this piece. I 100% relate to this I started dA
when I was 11 and my art is not what it looks like now, the anatomies are hideous
but now that I've learned to draw 'properly' I see very young artists who draw like
an owner of an animation studio. But in the end there are people who adore your art,
you just don't know.

I saw this on tumblr but I see you weren't the OP and it was just a link. So to repeat myself;
I always get angry when comics like this have happy endings because I feel I never get mine and I I’m always the one stuck halfway through, and I never reach the end of the comic myself.
I feel like the happy ending is a lie. And I get angry because it seems cruel to lie to me like that and make me expect something good to happen eventually.👍: 0 ⏩: 1
A lot of stories are like that. They make it seem simple enough to get to the happy end yourself, but whenever you try it's just out of your reach.
At least, that's how I sometimes see it. I empathize with you. I'm stuck as well. Nowadays I try to think of these "happy endings" of stories which I aspire to reach as a way of keeping up hope that I'll get there, like the girl was doing in the comic. I don't know if you understand, but I just thought I'd share my thoughts with you since I feel your pain.
Also, keep at whatever you do, and you'll get there one day. Maybe not as soon as you like, but just keep at it. I have faith in you!

I had a very bad moment when I wrote that comment as it seemed the comic hit me in a way that just made me upset, which is not the comic's fault. It's difficult to think of positives if you're in a mindset that things won't really improve.

Don't fret over those who draw better than you do! There's always someone better than you, (thank God, cuz if everyone had to be worse than me, that would be horrible! I would definitely hate that!).
