Here is another shot of the same humming bird that is in one of my deviations. People loved the other one a lot. I would like to read about what you guys have to say about this one.There's some processing done to it ..duh! Well it was way too noisy. I used Noise Ninja to remove the noise and carefully sharpened it so it would not have sharp halos around the bird.

i am soo jealous. i tried to take pictures of a humming bird yesterday but it was later in the day so it turned out dark

That's a great shot. I was taking some hummingbird shots recently and my biggest issue was focusing. What is your approach?

Beautifully captured! I love these birds, I've seen them only once naturally, in Uruguay when I was 6 years old. : p Superb composition and DOF. I like how the wings are blurred out on the tip (even though you used shutter speed at 1/3200 - these birds fly pretty fast!)

Thanks for stopping by and comment. I am glad you liked the shot. It was fun to photograph this bird. I had put a humming bird feeder in my backyard so I could take pictures of them. The lens used for this shot is a mediocre one. The reason why it looks sharp is because I sharpened it carefully in photoshop.

Noise Ninja is a program which helps you remove the noise(The dots that you see in the darker objects) caused by high ISO settings in the camera.

This is man meeting nature in a perfect sybiose. I can only Imagine how good it must feel to take a still shoot at something thats moving in such a high speed. See ur shutter is going way up here.
