Description
Built from 1940's Soviet robotic technology, this was their attempt at creating super-soldiers by putting human brains into robotic bodies.
The text on his chest translates into "Death to Capitalism!" I originally had it saying "Death to America," but my Mom didn't even like me writing that because it's so evil, so I changed it.
And just so things are clear, everyone should be aware that in NO WAY do I support the Soviets or socialism/communism. The Soviets were some very evil people.
I know that is going to like this one!!

Soviets were evil, but I wouldn't say socialism was. If they would of listened to Lennin's wishes after his death they would of been good. But instead they put Stalin in charge and everything went down hill.

Socialism is a very complicated subject. I would say that in a perfect world, communism and socialism are good entities, but they simply don't work in a world of corruption. Capitalism, for all it's flaws and potential evils, is the best and only thing that works.

I'm centralist and see it differently. Socialized servouses working hand in hand with Capitalism could work fine. In time pure socialism could work. But at this time? No, not yet.
But in the end it's not like it matter's much. I just wanted to say that socialism is no more evil then Capitalism. Not debate what is the proper system of govrenment.
Both have there flaws and need tweaking to fix. Capitalism had it's oil barrens. Socialism had Stalin. A matter of perspective.

I suppose that what I originally meant to say was that the evil part of the Soviets wasn't their end goal per se, but rather the way they attempted to achieve it. As it was their end goal in their own country was a complete and total failure, and Russia and other formally-Socialist nations are STILL trying to rebuild from the shambles that socialism left them in. It just didn't work.
Maybe in the future, like you said, but from what's been done thus far it's not plausible.

I think one of the magor failures was the fact that
Party Members > Everyone eals.
Everyone eals= Same
When a cab driver and nuclear scientist are making the same amount of money, and the polaticens are making more? Something is broke, that's for sure.
Not to mention the personal agendas being put ahead of the country. That happens in the states also of course. But in the USSR there wasn't as much protection to stop it from happening, and it was alot worse.

But the USSR was the root of all communism there after. They were the ones that helped install the states and there systems. Sort of spread the corruption all round.
But what's done is done. So maby one day someone will come around and do it right. But untill then it just isn't going to work.

The physics are a little confusing. Not bashing the 'man but I think that the leggs are a little too spindely to suport the wider mass on top. The flares at the bottom of the legs are good, but the kind of bleed in to the art deco sort of cyberman, I would have mooted for a more industrial idea to reflect the sort of mood the country was in. The sort of industrial revoloution. Perhaps large suportive springs?

Hey, I don't kill people for providing good critisicm!! I wasn't too keen on the design myself, but I went for the robot look that was reasonably popular back in the 40's (like the 'bot in "The Iron Giant..." great movie if you haven't seen it, although that took place in the 50's...). I did do an Industrial Revolution/Victorian Cyberman if you haven't checked it out; but you're right, I probably should have made him look a bit more "heavy industry" that still would break down if you merely looked at it wrong (like most Russian products...

wow this is well gd! communism btw isnt a bad thing nessecarily, the Maxist socialism dirrives that all men are equal and should be treated equally, it works in theory but when put into practice it never does and so the governments do bad thigns to cover it up. Communism is given a bad name mainly from stalin becuase he murdered millions more than hitler. most commenly ppl think of it as evil cos of the propaganda usa and england spread about it. Im not communsit btw and this wasnt meant to be a hateful lecture, i really love your work and dont want to offend u, i would love to see a steampunk davros (the creator of the daleks) you could have some great fun with that becuase he could have different clothes etc.

When I said, we won't let it happen, I meant in the USA. I do really feel sorry for those countries that live (or have lived) in that state. It's really a terribly sad thing. Our country here though, we have a lot of people in the government and in the media (news or movie-making people) that do think that communism is the way to go. I think that countries that have been enslaved like that are the biggest example against that. I mean, if one could even begin to number the innocents killed by communism, you would think that people would begin to reconsider!
It's really funny how in the government, the minorities get the biggest voices. Commies are one of those loud voices coming from a tiny group. I could name other groups, but I don't think I need to.
