I have a few here who would agree that pants aren't really necessary, so Byrne is not alone.
Though when you take a humanoid form, you sort of need to adopt the clothing wearing customs too, as inconvenient as they really are xD

Haha very true. Byrne isn't really one for fitting in, he doesn't like to get much more humanoid than he is currently, so you'd have to have a very quick glance not to spot something very wrong anyway. He has to wear clothes more for Cade's friends and family, he's never really going down to the shops to grab some milk. XD

He does most of the time, also because he has to due to his power at that point in time, but they know what he is, so he's able to be humanoid around them so long as they're old enough to understand never to touch. He's very careful in that regard.
