Description the bridge of refracted light breaches
the lens of an iris -
purple petals breathe in
the light of life;
orange on purple,
warm on the mellow.
would a Bee alight on the
velvet lips of night?
to dare and gaze upon
the moon's dim reflection?
--- or mayhap close those rosy lips and
I will clothe myself in that scent
- let me sup upon nectar golden
till I drown on the river
bittersweet---

Oh, this is dripping with imagery.
Has a bit of an older feel to it, which is lovely.

I love
would a Bee alight on the
velvet lips of night?

I will clothe myself in that scent

& the idea of drowning in a river of nectar.
Great piece.

And I almost forgot the wonderful play on words with 'close those rosy lips', as well as a lot of agreeable sounds (purple petals, light life, close those rosy clothe, myself scent, sup upon).

I like it. I thought of a meadow.
