Description
A slow, taut heat ascendsmy cerebellum,
it's trail-head at my belly button.
Your sanguine grins
slip below my chest
to echo kisses
on pillowed lips,
ashtrays for the smoldering
fray of nerves that alight
when your name is mouthed.
A grind and snap,
sinusoidal clenching and un---
Jaw barring air with a gritty gate
of cemented plaque to stall
the diffusing ardor.
Wings parade and unfurl:
a pheremonistic heady attraction.
Undeniable; crashing past the philtrum
trough to brush a nostril;
lips aquiver,
sublimating into a myriad
airy aches.
Then the tender suck
of time's honed latching:
the roar crowds thought
in a cacophonous strike
and decays the limp imprint
of your crisp silhouette;
memory diffusing into
popped balloons,
broken spaces.

my major issue issue with this piece is the second half or so of the first stanza. I feel like the lines from slip below my chest to twixt my frozen lips does not match the overall flow of the piece. I would consider revising it. It was almost like it slowed down the tempo of my reading.
