Description
I fell in love with Death today, with his bone white teeth
and his plague riddled eyes,
I saw him and ached for his
tarnished heart.
He looked in my eyes with his
wild gaze, and I felt love like I never had.
But he is older than feeling,
and I am newborn as the fall,
seeping silently from the shadowed
air through currents sweet and fragile.
But still he kissed me... how he kissed me.
I tasted wars, and death, and newborn
death rattles, hoarse in the silence
of a dying day,
through lips gray as tattered hope.
Tears fluttered down like summer song,
and he did not say anything, but I knew it:
I am the dying leaf on the tree,
but he is the bird that sings on.

I like the dark element of death in this piece and how you put romance into it! Awesome job!

Death. He's a seductive bastard.

Fantastic perspective.
And the term "star-crossed" is one of my favorites.
