School is okay. It's the classes I hate. Unfortunately that's sort of a package deal.

I remember one of the biggest changes for grades in school for my friend was 5th to 6th. SO. MANY. MORE. PROJECTS.
AND HOMEWORK. GAH.

I don't care what anyone says- I hated school. I hated high school and college.
Sure I met people and learned interesting things. But I felt like I wasn't there to learn- I was there to earn a grade. It doesn't matter if I retain anything- just that I wrote X amount of papers and passed my tests. All along I was stressed like hell.
It might be my own personal bias- since I feel like I wasted my time on a 4 yr degree when no one will hire me now. I couldn't work because I had such a heavy course load- being promised that good grades would get me a better job. But in the end all anyone wants is experience- and learning just doesn't cut it.

College wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for all the BS classes they make you take so they can get an extra year's worth of money out of you before sending you into the world with crippling debt.

Seriously! I was in for an art degree so all I needed was the technical how-to's and a couple of business classes. Do you really need calculus if you aren't going into math or science?

You don't. The whole system needs such a rework it isn't even funny. Originally, I went for psych before switching to bio. I ended up needing MORE credit hours for non-degree things than I did in actual psych-related stuff. Because I needed World Econ 1800-1950 for my degree, right?
It's all just to keep you there an extra year. A scant few schools are moving to a 3 year model, which should be the norm everywhere.

I tried to get nothing but art classes at my college, and they made it such a hassle to do it that way that I just stopped going which sucks. I would love to go back one day, but until I figure out how to make them cool it with all the unnecessary crap I probably won't.

I hate school because eventhough I`m a nice girl and don`t annoy or pick on anyone, I always get teased or laughed at by mostly everyone.
