I'm not a photographer myself, but it most definitely is an art form. It's capturing a moment for artistic purposes, posing someone or something in a specific lighting to create a mood that the artist was trying to express through realistic imagery.
Of course, not all photographs are artistic nor were given much attention to, but the same can be said for drawings, like stick figures and such.

In your argument, then, men shouldn't be allowed to walk around topless. Also, according to what you said, any girl who puts on a swimsuit and goes to the beach is now a slut. The women who rather bravely posed for breast cancer awareness after going through hours and hours of painful treatment are also now sluts.
A slut is someone who sleeps around. The human body is an amazing and beautiful creation.

a picture of a flower- the flower did the hard work not the photographer/painter
realistic paintings- because thats what photography is for

art is unimportant compared to lived experience

I'm not trying to get into your weird little argument thing here, I would just like to point out that not all nude art is of women. There are plenty of men that model in nude art as well, there have even be DD's of them as well. & I would also like to say that a model is called a model, not a slut, because it is in fact a real profession. I am not saying all women who take naked photographs are models, but I am saying that you should respect the women that are. You should also respect another human's right to do whatever they want with their own bodies as long as it is within the legal realms of right and wrong.
There is a lot of nude work on dA that I don't agree with it, and mostly it is the phonecam crap and the duck-face-girls, but that doesn't mean that there isn't very creative, sometimes politically or morally charged, nude art in the world. Just saying.

Real nude art should be on dA, there is nothing in dA's policy that states that it is not allowed at all. There are very specific rules that dA has based on American laws. & real nude art isn't just a naked person, you're free to see it that way, but that doesn't necessarily make it true to anyone but you.

I do agree with this. Porn overall is just for entertainment (in my opinion) and does not hold much artistic value no matter how well drawn/written/photographed it is.
