Republic Trooper Vanguard from Star Wars: The Old RepublicThese guys weren't bred for combat like the clones, in fact they are from 3,500 years before the original Star Wars movies and the Prequals. They are normal grunts who rise to the top through valor and commendation and earn their right as badasses in battle. I have to imagine when Bioware designed this class they were thinking of ARC Clone Troopers so i like to think of these guys as the precursors to the ARC's

Though not a clone, the Vangard in the Alderaan cutscene did look slightly like Jango.

Actually, the rangefinder is the antenna that Rex, most ARC troopers, and Mandalorian helmets have.
Although, the visor Bly uses is pretty cool too.
