After James and Silver clear out the first floor grunts, James goes on ahead and loses track of Silver momentarily. Back at the entrance, Silver shakes down Proton after dragging him out from behind the desk and nabs an elevator key from him. When Silver catches up with James after a short while, they talk for a while and Silver ends up answering a few of James’ throwaway questions about Team Rocket, making James somewhat suspicious of his knowledge of Team Rocket’s working. Silver lets James know, under know uncertain terms, that he doesn’t plan on telling James why he knows so much about them, but doesn’t care what conclusion he jumps to either. As soon as the two reach an elevator, Silver blindsides James and dazes him and his team with a Night Shade from his Haunter before taking the elevator up by himself, leaving James behind in confusion.
James continues up the Radio tower the ‘slow way’ and takes on a second wave of grunts. After musing for a little while about taking Silver’s initial advice of dressing like some of the grunts to bypass most of the irritating fights , he makes the discovery that a good number (but not all) of the grunts on that floor are identical in appearance to him. After James panics for a while and he and his team ask questions that none of them had the answer to, James decides that whatever is going on, they’ll either deal with later or get answers from the higher up Rockets.
On a higher floor, Silver is engaged in a battle against Ariana who taunts Silver about his inability to find Giovanni after so many years, and proposes that he join up with them since they have the same goal. Silver makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with Ariana, and their goals couldn’t be more different. In the middle of the fight Archer ambushes him, and Silver is taken down after being ganged up on.
On a lower floor, after forcing his way through even more grunts (and continuing to avoid thinking about the rocket lookalikes), James reaches a room that he comments looks really unusual for one in a radio tower, having no furniture or anything else in there really, and the walls looking like they’d been reinforced. Before he can even finish his train of thought, the exits are bolted shut with doors just as sturdy as the walls. One of the wall panels slides open to reveal a monitor screen with a person on it, triggering an, until then unseen, amount of hostility from Ampsen that confirms the man’s identity to be Petrel.
Petrel explains that he’s been watching James and his team since he broke into their Mahogany base through security cams, and after assessing rough estimates had the grunts under his leadership (the ones on the floors between the first and the current one) prepare the room to his specifications specifically for James’ arrival. When James asks him what the deal is with the lookalike grunts, Petrel just says that he has no idea what his associate is doing letting ‘one of them’ freely walk around, but he has no plans to let such a liability just walk on out without any trouble. The vents then open up and Koffing start flooding out of them into the room. While James’ Pokemon do their best to knock out as many Koffing as they can before they get a chance to explode, Petrel explains that all the Koffing went through the same thing that Ampsen’s friends went through, and reveals that he and his underlings knew the whole time that Ampsen hadn’t been hypnotized, but allowed him to think that they had been fooled, which riles up Ampsen even more. James also notices that Jazz had quickly stopped participating in the fight, wearing a terrified and frustrated expression.
Ampsen’s rage is put on hold quickly, however, by him noticing that James’ Pokemon are slowly getting fatigued by the endless stream of Koffing and jumps into the fray himself, stunning all the Koffing that pass through with bursts of his thunderbolts. After struggling with his thoughts for a while, he tells James to recall his Pokemon, since he has a plan that will only work if he does that, and after James recalls them, Ampsen uses the last bit of power he had left in him to cover James in a light screen before the Koffing explode and wipe him out.
James comes to a little later to see Jazz in front of him, shielding the two of them with an attack that James did not recall teaching Jazz at all. Whatever conclusion James reached made him shoot Jazz a sharp glare before he let out his other pokemon and continued on in a silent rage, ready to make Petrel pay for Ampsen’s death.
During the remaining climb up the tower, Jazz stops and intentionally waits for the others to get out of view before forcing open one of the walls, revealing the secret room that Petrel had been observing everything from. Petrel laughs at the fact that he didn’t manage to kill James, and tells Jazz that it doesn’t matter to him if he gets arrested, since it is very unlikely they’ll be able to hold him for long. Jazz responds by saying that the knowledge he possesses is highly dangerous, and he’s been commanded to take it from him.
When James finally reaches the top of the Radio tower, he finds a beaten up Silver who warns him of the two Rocket Admins who are also there. James immediately engages the both of them demanding they tell him where Petrel is, since they’re just ‘in the way’, even if they’re the ones who are actually in charge. They don’t tell him anything, however, stating that he does his own thing anyway.
When Archer jumps into the fight, Bruce volunteers to take him on, since the guy really pissed him off, but when Archer sends out his Houndoom Bruce immediately starts cowering in front of it. The Houndoom talks to Bruce as if it knows him (or at least OF him), commenting on his lack of stripes and taunting him before Hamma steps in after seeing that the Houndoom was scaring Bruce and defeats it herself.
After their battle, Whitney rushes in with an injured Jazz and berates James for leaving his Slowbro behind to get as hurt as it did, and then tells him and Silver to follow her out, since the authorities got word of the situation from Pryce jr. who used a phone that he found after investigating the empty Rocket base in Mahogany, and they were now cleaning up the mess that the two of them had made.
Since it had gotten late during the whole event, and a lot of new things had surfaced, James decides to sleep on it in a Pokemon Centre and then tackle it all the next day.

Aw, poor Ampsen. How did he die in-game?
Hmm, didn't Bruce mention in one of the FAQs he is part Houndoom? Maybe Archer's Houndoom is a relative?

Maaaan... Even just summarized all of this is awesome! While I will miss it, I would never want an artist to continue a project they lost passion for. But thank you for not just leaving us all hanging.
I so can't wait to find out what's next...

It's been one of the best Nuzlocke's for a while.
Yin's Kick@ss mode and Petty artists are another couple of great ones.
I'm having a hard time finding others that are of this quality. Any suggestions anyone?

Thanks for giving your run a proper end with these summaries! It can't be easy to still put a lot of work into something you're not feeling anymore, so you should know it's much appreciated that you write it out in so much detail and accompanied by so much art. c:

Personally, I think your run is better this way, it makes it more easy to read instead of having speech everywhere.

Usually I don't read many journal entries but after being linked for yours, I understood this summary.
Let me tell you something which you already know pretty well: do the shit whatever you want. If people don't want to respect your wishes to end the nuzlocke run, ignore them. Three years is exhaustive no wonder you want to move on from it. It's just a friggin hobby and the good thing about hobbies is we can drop one anytime. It's pointless to continue something that doesn't amuse us anymore just because an audience is dying for it. In a comic like this, is our own amusement that counts first, not the others'.
I can relate that, recently I ended a pokemon fancomic as well cuz felt like doing other about XY and people talked shit about me with hate mail. I didn't give two fucks, it's about my hobby, not theirs.
Plus you are doing a big favor with those summaries. If even still some readers will still say crap, tell them to fuck off.

Thank you for all of your hard work, as I greatly enjoyed your comic.

This is the reason why I took up nuzlocking my own comic (And I should really get back into it after I finish pokemon x. ) It's sad but I had a feeling it was coming. But that's fine and dandy with your choice; you gave us an answer and to me that's enough that you cared about your readers to provide for us. So I wanna thank you for that.

Aww... This was the run that got me into Nuzlocking... I'm very very sad to see it go. But, it's your decision in the end. Just know that this one run has brought me into a community I am muchly in love with, and know that your 'bad' story inspired a person to take up the challenge themselves.
