I just recently beat FF 10, after just saving outside the final boss and not being bothered to fight him for months, and I figured, "hey why not", since all I've been doing is working on crappy projects for a while.
And yes, FF 10 is my least favourite, and FF 12 is my most favourite.

My favorites are the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance games. Which share a universe with XII, btw.
For the few games we've both played, we seem to be more or less in agreement.

I know about tactics, but I've been pretty skeptical about investing time into spinoff games after... Crystal Chronicles and Revenant Wings...

Okay, Crystal Chronicles was garbage, yes. Still, though... FFTA's a GBA game, you should be able to pick it up for pretty cheap at this point. Find a copy and give it a shot sometime.
